Sea Cadet Program
Coursework
The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Veterans Pride Battalion located in Glendale, Arizona is for young adults (ages 13-17) and the Navy League Cadet Corps for youth (ages 10-13) who are interested in the Navy, the military and the seagoing services. They are introduced to public service and military life while learning about teamwork, life skills, and citizenship. The cadets work with Active Duty Personnel, Reservists, the National Guard, various veterans groups, military support groups, governmental agencies and civilian programs. Cadets are authorized to wear official Navy uniforms with special Sea Cadet or Navy League insignia. We meet one weekend per month during the school year for drill just as the military is required. Parades, volunteer activities, marksmanship, camping, military studies, fire fighting, first aid, and working with Navy Seabee's on construction projects may all be part of the regular training year. One of the greatest benefits of the program is the chance to sample career options while exploring military service. Sea Cadets participate in a 10 day basic training course given during summer and winter breaks, then a large variety of advanced training courses are available for the cadet to take and explore various career options. The Cadets are taught skills and habits that will help them be successful in any path of life they choose. Ivy league schools such as Anapolis, The Citadel, The US Air Force Academy, West Point all seek out our cadets as candidates for their respective programs. We are proud of our ability to supply smart, educated and well rounded young adults to these instituions, helping our cadets to succeed in the paths they undertake!

Firefighters Challenge
Advanced training may include working on aircraft, training aboard ships, submarine duty, Coast Guard duty, Master at Arms school and the elite senior Cadets may qualify to train with the Navy SEALS or participate in the International Exchange Program around the world. This great program instills an appreciation of military history, customs, traditions and the importance of a strong Naval and military presence around the world. Cadets learn about the benefits and prestige of a military career. Successful advancement in the program can mean advanced rank when joining a military service or an easier path to college ROTC and Service Academy programs. For the cadets who enlist in the Navy or Coast Guard, it means an immediate pay raise of up to $400 a month after completing Recruit Training. There is NO commitment/obligation to join the military if you participate in the program. The traits and the vast majority of the skills that we teach are those that translate to a Cadet becoming a more effective, responsible and civic minded adult regardless of future career plans.
